Mr Brett Lyon is a passionate educator, student support professional and international education expert with more than 20 years in education.
Brett spent his early career teaching primary school and English in Australia, Britain and Switzerland.
Since then he has been a deputy head teacher, project manager, curriculum and course developer, policy writer, student services manager and assistant registrar. He has worked in early childhood, primary, vocational and higher education settings as well as for the government as a learning and development consultant. Brett completed his Masters in Education in 2015.
Brett has extensive experience in international education, customer service, student administration, support services, engagement, retention, communication, training needs assessment, training development, implementation and evaluation. He is very active in social media and uses this to support students online and build supportive communities.
Brett is passionate about the international student experience is the National Communications Manager on the National Council for ISANA International Education Association and tweets for ISANA @ISANAnational, he also maintains the ISANA website.
In 2015, Brett was presented with a recognition award from CISA (Council for International Students, Australia) for service to the Australian international student community.
